8:45-9:00--Opening & Welcome

9:00-10:15— Problem Based Learning in STEM Education-

      Experience the excitement of PBL and learn how the presenters found and used authentic real-world problems to create multimedia "Challenges" that captivate students.

10:30-12:30-- Case Based Learning--- Professor Kipp Herreid, Distinguished Teaching Professor, Department of Biological Sciences; Academic Director, UB's Honors College; and Director, National Center for Case Study Teaching in Science, University at Buffalo 

Lunch—12:30-1:30-- Lunch, Networking, Poster Session 

1:30-2:30—Panel on Getting Started with PBL, Case Studies—Our morning presenters will be joined by students to discuss critical success points, problem areas, support needs and results.

Directions:

Coming From the South:

If you are coming from the South (New York), take I-95 North and get off at exit 41 (Marsh Hill Rd).  At the end of the ramp go straight through the light.  This is Frontage Rd and the entrance ramp on I95 Northbound.  Stay in the right lane.   Follow this to the fork, staying in the right lane.  Follow the signs to the parking lot.

Coming From the North:

If you are coming from the North (Hartford/Madison, etc.), take I-95 South.  Get off at exit 41 (Marsh Hill Rd)).  At the light at the end of the exit ramp take a left onto Marsh Hill Road.  Go to your next traffic light and take a left onto Frontage Road/I95 northbound entrance ramp.  Follow this to the fork, stay in the right lane. Follow the signs to the parking lot.

Coming From the Merritt Parkway:

Take the Merritt Parkway North to Exit 54 (Milford Connector).  Go under I-95 overpass and then exit onto the ramp designated to New Haven (I-95 North).  Get off at exit 41 and continue with the directions above (Coming from the South) to reach West Campus.

Coming From Waterbury:

Take Route 8 South to exit 15 (Route 34).  Take a right off the exit onto Route 34 (East).  Follow that to Racebrook Road (Route 114).  Take a right onto Racebrook Road and follow it all the way down to Route 1 (Boston Post Road).  Go straight at the Route 1 intersection and bear to the right after Pasta Fair (Indian River Rd).  Go to the 2^nd traffic light and take a left onto Marsh Hill Road.  Go to the second (2nd) traffic light and take a left onto Frontage Road/I95 northbound entrance ramp.  Follow this to the fork, stay in the right lane.  Follow the signs to the parking lot.
